We went back to the doctor today we very nervous and excited. We were both scared that we wouldn't be able to see the baby again. We definitely were wrong! At first I thought there were 2 babies in there, but the sonogram lady quickly told me that the object on the left is the yolk sac, which gives the baby the nutrients it needs during the early stages of development. I got scared for a minute there.
We found out that the baby is 7 weeks and 1 day old. It is 1.1cm long, which is slightly less that 0.5 inches. That's insanely small but so exciting! The estimated due date is December 8. Both baby and mommy are in great condition, although mommy is beginning to have some nausea. Very good doctor's visit overall. Enough of me talking, here are some pictures of baby Patterson! Enjoy!

Baby Patterson

Just in case you weren't exactly sure which part is baby Patterson, I focused it for you.

Measuring the heart rate. Baby checks in at a cool 154 beats per minute, which is right at where it should be.
