We had a really good time going to Freemont Street. If you're not familiar with that, it's the older part of Vegas that has the covered canopy that has tons of lights and has light shows. We stayed for a few hours and had a blast. The best way to describe it was Bourbon Street plus gambling. The original Vegas casino's are in this area (Binion's, Golden Nugget, 4 Queens, Boyd's Freemont Casino) as well as some other establishments (hint hint.) No, we definitely didn't do anything like that, but instead enjoyed ourselves in the other areas of the street and with the light show. It was a lot of fun. Possibly our favorite thing we did.
Here are some pictures - enjoy!
Plaza hotel. The structure above it the canopy with the millions of lights - I think they said it was like 6 million LEDs.

Me enjoying Freemont Street. I need to work on my label placement - maybe I could have gotten an advertising deal...

These pictures are the 2nd show, which was the song "American Pie"
Me and Jason enjoying the show
Sappoo (my grandfather) sitting on a trash can on Freemont Street. His knee was hurting and he was tired of standing up, so he decided to sit down somewhere. Just happened to be on the trashcan. We still are not sure how he got up there.
Freemont Street was a lot of fun and the lighted canopy was really cool. They have different shows every hour. We wanted to go back but ran out of time. I highly recommend going if you can. American Pie was really cool. Everyone on the street was stopped and signing along with the song. There were literally thousands of people singing. It was a cool experience and the show was really well done. I can't imagine what their power bill is.
That's all for Freemont St pictures. The last group of pictures should be posted by the end of the weekend
