Christmas

We had a really good Christmas this year. We were blessed to be able to spend time with friends and family.

We woke up Christmas morning very early - around 6:45 am - for reasons to be explained later. It was exciting to spend our first Christmas together in our new house. It felt like it was our first Christmas being married, even though it is actually our second! We opened our stockings and presents and had a fun time, although it was somewhat strange being the only two people in the house opening presents since we're both used to opening presents with our families.

Christi gave me some really nice gifts and I think she liked what I gave her as well. Here are a few pictures of Christmas morning at our house.

I asked for a new car for Christmas... and I got one. Next time I'll be more specific. Christi thought it was hilarious.

After opening presents, we were supposed to be at Christi's parents' house between 8-8:30am, which is why we woke up so early. We got there around 8:45. Close. We ate breakfast and opened stockings from Santa with Christi's parents, Jason, and Nana. Afterward, we began opening presents from everyone. As always, we were given way too many things and were spoiled by everyone.

After opening presents we ate lunch at the Grizzard's house. The food was delicious and I was stuffed after eating so much. We also had some great deserts, including chocolate pecan pie - my favorite!

After eating lunch and laying around the house half awake after eating so much, Christi and I headed back to our house to meet my brother, sister, and mom. We exchanged presents with them and had a good time there as well. Unfortunately I left the camera at Christi's parents' house so I don't have any pictures to share.

Once we got done at our house, we went back to Christi's parents' house to meet my grandfather (aka Sappoo) and Laverne there to exchange presents with them. It was a lot of fun spending time with them and they really seemed to like what everyone gave them. After opening presents, we enjoyed some leftovers from lunch, which were just as good as they were earlier.

We ended the day watching a movie at Christi's parents' house. All in all it was a great day. We both got a lot of great gifts from everyone. Some of my favorites were a huge GT sign Christi gave me, a lot of tools and yard equipment from Christi and her parents, some movies (Dark Knight and Wall-E) that I really wanted from Jason, and overall just a bunch of great gifts that I will enjoy. If I had to pick my favorite gift, it would be this surprise gift from Christi's parents

Chick-fil-a bowl tickets!!!!!!!!!

That's right! They got Christi and I as well as Jason and themselves tickets to the Chick-fil-a bowl on New Year's Eve! We will be going up there to enjoy all of the festivities and cheer the Yellow Jackets to another victory!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Thank you everyone for the presents!!!
