Yes, I'm still excited about our 45-42 win over Georgia this past weekend. We'll be playing in the Chik-fil-a bowl against LSU more than likely, we have the ACC coach of the year (maybe national) and the ACC offensive player of the year (Dwyer.) Things are looking good for GT football.
We finished Christmas decorating this weekend. I'll be posting those pictures soon. I have a ton of pictures to take. After we finished decorating, I went upstairs through our bonus room (still a work in progress) to the attic. As I set some boxes down, I stepped back thinking I was on the plywood walking area, but I ended up in our master bedroom closet. My right foot fell through the ceiling and I fell until the roof braces caught me. So there I was with my foot dangling in our closet and Christi comes running upstairs to see what is wrong and seeing if I was hurt. Thankfully all I have are some scratches on my arm and a sore side. I should've been more careful and paying better attention to where I was stepping, but I didn't and I looked like a genius afterward At least I never cease to give Christi things to make fun of me about.
You're probably wondering what happened after that. Needless to say it was a big mess. There was sheet rock and insulation all in our closet and all over Christi's clothes (but not mine!) So, we cleaned that up and later Christi's dad came over to help fix the ceiling. Thankfully, we were able to salvage the sheet rock pieces and put them back up. Tomorrow I am going to patch the cracks that are left and then respray the ceiling with a popcorn filler. Everything should be as good as new. If it were any other room, I would go ahead and take down the popcorn, but it's just the closet and it's not really worth the effort. Once the ceiling is fixed painting will resume in the bonus room.
So besides stepping through our ceiling, we've been busy putting the finishing touches on decorations and just having different things to do. With it getting dark so early, it feels really late and it makes me tired, but it's only like 8 or 9, so not as much gets done. Also, we've both been really busy at work lately, so the motivation to do work around the house is not exactly there when we get home from a long day at work. It will get done, though.
That's it for tonight. I'll have those pictures up soon, hopefully by Saturday. Keep checking back for more updates and remember - watch where you step in your attic. It's not fun to fall through your ceiling. Trust me, I know these things.
