It's hump day. I'm in an off-site training class all week this week so I can't really complain. The class has actually been fairly interesting so far and I can say that I actually learned some things this week.
We just got back from eating at Ingelside Village Pizza with Jody, Jessica, McKenzie, and Kaden. It was great pizza - best in town (at least until the Mellow Mushroom gets finished later this year.) Because of our schedules, this was the first time since last we were able to sit down and hang out with them. It was great fun with great friends. Hopefully it won't have to wait until next week until we hang out again.
As I mentioned in my brief post last night, we've been pretty busy lately. I won't go into tons of detail like I normally do since that makes for a long and boring post. We've been busy working in the yard, getting things done at work, taking care of Christi, and just doing a lot of little things that end up taking all day. Last night we went over to Christi's parents' house to help move furniture. They're in the process of redoing virtually every room in their house. Today work started on their living room and kitchen. They're doing a complete renovation in those rooms and they needed to get a lot of their things out of that area so the workers could come in today. Every other room they had done themselves, but since this is such a big undertaking they decided to let the professionals do it. I think it was a good move. It's going to look really good when they get done.
I played basketball again last Thursday. It was a lot of fun and I played better than I did last week. I scored a decent amount of points, was 50% from behind the arc (much better than last week), and overall played really well. I forced some passes early in the 1st game but settled down and had 0 turnovers the 2nd and 3rd games. We won the 1st and 3rd game by large margins and lost the 2nd by 2 pts. Jody and I were on the same team all 3 games along with some of our other friends - Cody and Josh - and we all played really well together. Jody and my styles of play compliment each other very well and it worked to our advantage several times with beating our guy to the basket and kicking it back out when the other defenders collapse on us, leaving each other wide open for a nice 3. Beautiful. I'm not sure if I will be playing tomorrow night, but hopefully over the summer we'll be able to keep playing about once a week. It's a lot of fun.
Pregnancy update: Christi is just over 10 weeks pregnant this week. We go back to the doctor on May 27th to hear the heartbeat and do whatever else they have to do during that visit. Christi has been incredibly sick the past 3 weeks. Ever since the nausea started, she has thrown up every single day, except for 1 night in which she miraculously didn't get sick. Hopefully it won't last much longer. I'm going to start a new entry each week detailed what's happening with the baby and what she's going through. I was trying to get her to write it because she obviously knows more about it than I do, but she's too tired to do it (besides, I don't want her puking on the keyboard so maybe it's a good thing she can't.) Maybe down the road I can get her to write some entries.
Enough writing for today. Time to go fold some clothes and watch the tube with the wifey and baby.

Tell Christi I'd love to hear her pregnancy tales, and to hear about y'alls life from her POV. I hope she starts feeling better. At least school is almost out so she can be sick at home!
